Can AFRIPAY CBT support both CBT and handwritten examinations?
Yes. An institution can run computer-based tests, handwritten booklets, or both in the same exercise. Handwritten scripts are scanned and kept with the candidate record.
How are handwritten answers identified and scanned?
Each booklet is paired to the candidate. After the sitting, pages are scanned and stored against that attempt for marking and audit.
Can candidates receive marks for answers written in different words?
The marking preview can recognise equivalent answers. An examiner still confirms the score before it is released.
What happens when handwriting cannot be read clearly?
The script stays in the queue for an examiner. A suggested score is not treated as a final mark when the writing cannot be read.
Can an institution apply to use the platform for recruitment or promotion?
Yes. Use Start an Examination Project and describe the exercise, expected candidate volume and the assessments you need.
Can a CBT centre apply for registration and accreditation?
Yes. Submit the centre application on this page, or use the centre coordinator form if you are applying to operate a venue.
Does submitting a centre application guarantee approval?
No. Applications are reviewed against venue, power, seating and identity-check requirements. Approval is confirmed separately.
Can the platform produce examination reports and audit records?
Yes. Sessions, score changes and centre activity are written to an audit trail that authorised officers can review.
